SUMMARY:Folkemødet 2026: Do you have strong or weak democracy muscles?
DESCRIPTION:Launch of the Citizens’ Initiative on the Recommendations for the Future of Tourism\n \n \n \n \n \n Come and flex your democracy muscles with We Do Democracy – because democratic skills are something we need to practice together.\nWhat does it take to create a better democratic future? The answer lies in all of us: More people need to get involved! Because democracy also lives in our everyday lives: in the way we talk\, disagree\, actively listen and compromise with each other. We need to strengthen our participation in everyday democracy and the vibrant culture of conversation if we are to strengthen the cohesion of society. \nAnd participating in democracy requires skills. And we are not born with them. We need to practice and exercise our democracy muscles in order to activate them. That’s why we have developed the Democracy Fitness concept – a training program where you don’t break a sweat\, but are challenged on your 10 democracy muscles: Empathy\, active listening\, mobilization\, activist\, compromise\, courage\, curiosity\, disagreement\, attitude and verbal confidence. The concept can be used in all contexts – from primary schools to boardrooms and EU politicians. \nThe event is open to everyone\, regardless of experience and background. Join us and find out how you can use Democracy Fitness to make democracy stronger\, one muscle at a time! \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Time \nThursday\, June 11\, 15:15-16:00 \nLocation \nScene F5 in Allinge
