Democracy cannot be taken for granted. It doesn't just fall into our laps. Democracy is something we need to train. That's why we have taken the initiative for Democracy Fitness!
Background
Specifically, we have developed 10 democratic “muscles” – 10 democratic skills that you can train and benefit from in your work community, team or classroom. For example, do you need to strengthen your ability to disagree? Do you need to train your active listening, verbal confidence or compromise muscle? Democracy Fitness offers concrete, tangible and proven skills development. A muscle only takes 30 minutes to train and can be used on its own or in connection with a presentation.
