2 senior project managers/program managers and consultants with partner potential

We are looking for new, strong project managers and consultants with a high level of expertise, a sense of responsibility, experience, and drive. WDD will play a central role in some of Denmark’s largest transformation projects within a complex stakeholder landscape that unites Danes in finding the difficult balances needed to shape our shared future. We want to strengthen our team with professionals who can contribute to these efforts.

Eventually, you will have the opportunity to become part of a democratic, employee-owned organization that is on a shared mission to strengthen and renew democracy at multiple levels of our society.

You may be in a similar position today and want to take the next step, work in a value-driven way, and are interested in joining a company as a potential partner.

We are looking for two candidates who both have solid program management experience and can lead complex transformations

Who are you?

  • Driven by the desire to create a better democratic future
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position and a strong professional background
  • Experience from an advisory organization or consulting firm, or skills acquired as an entrepreneur, manager, or project initiator that match the requirements
  • A strong project manager who knows how to ensure progress, oversight, and deliverables within teams.
  • It is an advantage if you have experience in any of our areas of work—citizen engagement, policy development, democratic innovation, and complex societal transformations
  • Ambitious, eager to learn, and professional—you go the extra mile and are a strong team player for both clients and colleagues.
  • You take an entrepreneurial approach to your work—and take responsibility for developing, driving, and seeing through the projects you initiate.
  • You’re also a skilled consultant who creates a sense of security around you—both among our clients and your colleagues. You know how to lead a project and ensure progress within the scope of an assignment.

Profile: Specialized communication experience

You are a strong strategic communicator who can take the lead and drive complex development projects where communication and managing multiple stakeholders are absolutely crucial. You’re committed to making complex issues accessible so that we can all contribute. You never talk down to people, but always empower them, so that more people can help shape the future together. You have the relevant education and, most importantly, experience, and you know how to communicate with a wide variety of audiences—citizens, stakeholders, businesses, civil society organizations, the press, politicians, and government officials. And you can take the lead in communicating messages so that more people can achieve more. You have a firm grasp of your communication toolkit—from stakeholder analysis, copywriting, press relations, outreach, and graphic design—and can manage a project from start to finish.

It would be an advantage if you have industry knowledge in the areas of transforming the built environment, urban development, infrastructure, renewable energy, and landscape transformation.

Profile: Specialized experience in citizen engagement and process management

You can design, facilitate, and lead processes that ensure participants achieve common goals. You have experience as a professional facilitator and external consultant. You have experience leading teams of facilitators, a solid toolkit of facilitation techniques, and relevant continuing education in areas such as mediation, conflict resolution, large-group facilitation, and facilitation. You can walk into most rooms and create a sense of calm and momentum—you possess a natural combination of curiosity, humility, and impact. You are conceptually strong and have a keen eye for describing, executing, and sharing your knowledge.

It would be an advantage if you have experience with the green transition, land-use conversion, and working with municipalities and local stakeholders.

About We Do Democracy

Democracy is showing signs of strain, and right now we need talented individuals to help renew and develop democracy at multiple levels in our society, so that we, as a community, can successfully tackle the major challenges of our time. It is important to us that new members of the team are also committed to this purpose and want to contribute to the development of democracy.

We Do Democracy is a social enterprise and a leading advisor in the field of democratic innovation in the Nordic region. We work to make a better democratic future possible. We are seeing growing interest and demand for democracy programs led by professional democracy consultants and cross-sectoral initiatives that engage citizens and decision-makers in finding shared solutions—ranging from green tripartite partnerships, climate action, welfare, public services, and the mobilization of collective agency—ranging from national citizens’ assemblies and local citizens’ gatherings to the renewal of membership-based democracy and long-term research and development projects.

Be part of a unique democratic value proposition

We are a social enterprise—which means we are mission-driven and reinvest a large portion of our profits back into the field. We are a growing organization, a two-time Gazelle Award winner, and in four years have grown from a team of four to 24. We are a flat, fast-paced organization where assignments are often based on individual interests and energy levels. Today, our team consists of consultants with backgrounds in political science, public administration, political communication, geography, rhetoric, as well as aesthetics and culture.

The company is organized into teams where everyone contributes and has a say in how the organization and the business develop. We are in the process of transforming into an employee-owned organization. This means that you won’t just be hired—you’ll have the opportunity to eventually become a partner and help shape the organization’s future.

We are part of Demokrati Garage on Rentemestervej in Nordvest—a hub and meeting place for democracy and civic engagement.
