Citizens’ Assembly Sustainable Consumption launches their recommendations!

After many months of work, the members of the Citizens' Assembly on Sustainable Consumption are ready to launch their recommendations.

Facts

Over the past nine months, more than 50 citizens have been working to formulate a vision and recommendations for a future of sustainable consumption. More than 4400 hours of work over seven weekend days, online meetings, an open public meeting, editorial meetings and much more have been used to develop concrete recommendations.

The citizens’ recommendations consist of an introduction and call to action, a vision, a value base, 13 main recommendations, and a number of specific ranked recommendations. The recommendations cover everything from taxes, to the transition of agriculture, to the way we live, and much more. The citizens’ assembly is initiated by politicians from the Capital Region of Denmark, the Region of Southern Denmark, Vejle Municipality, Rudersdal Municipality and Frederiksberg Municipality, and is part of the EU-funded project, Circular Economy Beyond Waste, which aims to promote the transition to a circular economy in Denmark.

The launches will be officially presented tonight d. 25/4 in Vejle at 17.00, and in Rudersdal d. 4/5 at 19.00
