Five days of training, conversation and co-creation are now over – and we couldn’t be more proud, grateful and excited for the future.
This week, we’ve had democracy practitioners from all over the world visiting the Democracy Garage in Copenhagen. Together we explored Democracy Fitness as a method, mindset and movement – and laid the foundation for the next chapter.
During the camp we have:
- Shared experiences and challenges across contexts
- Explored how the methodology can be adapted locally
- Developed ideas for partnerships and joint strategy
The theme of the camp was “Building the movement together” – and it was lived out every single day. With openness, courage and curiosity, the participants created a community where diversity became strength, and where together we took important steps towards Democracy Fitness growing as a movement for a more vibrant and participatory democratic culture globally.
We say a huge THANK YOU to:
- All the participants who traveled here and shared themselves
- Robert Bosch Stiftung, which made the camp possible – and has supported Democracy Fitness from the very beginning
- All of you who follow and support us from the sidelines
We’re saying goodbye to camp – but the movement is on.
And we’re already looking forward to the next step.

Democracy is not a state – it’s a practice. And that practice is best practiced together.
