Democracy is cracking, and right now we need skilled profiles to help renew and develop democracy at several levels in our society so that we as a community can succeed in solving the great challenges of our time.
We Do Democracy is among the leading forces in the field of democracy innovation in the Nordic region. We see a growing awareness and demand for democracy programs run by professional democracy advisors and cross-cutting efforts that activate citizens and decision-makers in shared solutions – from green tripartite, climate, welfare, emergency preparedness, supply and activation of collective action. From national citizens’ councils, local citizens’ assemblies, renewal of member democracy and long-term research and development projects.
We are currently looking for 1-2 new profiles with partner potential to join our strong team, who can help take this work further – with high professionalism, responsibility, experience and drive. In the long term, you will have the opportunity to become part of a democratic employee-owned organization.

Experienced democracy advisor and project manager
Who are you?
- You are driven to create a better democratic future.
- You have at least 5 years of relevant experience and strong professionalism.
- You have experience from an advisory organization or consultancy, or have acquired matching skills as an entrepreneur, manager or start-up.
- You are a strong project manager who knows how to ensure progress, overview and deliverables in teams.
- It is an advantage if you have experience with some of our fields of work – citizen engagement, policy development, democratic innovation, activism, community work, participation, foundation projects, partnerships and deliberative democracy.
- You’re ambitious, eager to learn and professional – and you work hard and are a strong partner for both customers and colleagues.
- You have an entrepreneurial approach to your work – and take responsibility for developing, driving and lifting what you set in motion.
Good competencies to master:

The team today consists of consultants from political science, public administration, political communication, geography and agricultural economics to rhetoric, aesthetics and culture.

We are are part of Democracy Garage on Rentemestervej in Nordvest – a a hub and meeting place for democracy and participation.
Practicality
- We are looking for candidates from all over the Nordic region – you must be able to understand and write Danish and be willing to to get really good at it.
- We are not wage leaders. We have a collective bonus scheme, pension and parental leave scheme, lunch scheme and invest continuously and strategically in competence and team development.
- We have diligenceksflexible working hours and the option to work from home.
- You will spend the majority of your working days in our lovely Northwest office in the Democracy Garage.
- You will be part of a young consulting team with a total of 12 permanent employees.
- We are looking for someone who can start in August.
