Citizens’ Assembly on the Future of Tourism: Open meeting

Citizens’ Assembly on the Future of Tourism: Open meeting

On April 14, the Citizens’ Assembly on the Future of Tourism invites you to an open meeting where you can meet the members and hear about their work with recommendations for developing the future of tourism.

Since March 2026, 36 citizens have been working intensively on the future of tourism in Copenhagen with the aim of making recommendations to the City of Copenhagen and Wonderful Copenhagen based on the set core task: “What will tourism look like in 2030 if it is to contribute to making Copenhagen a better place to live and visit, while promoting the green transition, positive meetings and residents’ interests.”

The Citizens’ Assembly is a democracy format that consists of a representative selection of Copenhageners who are equipped with knowledge from a number of experts during the spring. They have used this knowledge to discuss and prepare recommendations that will be handed over to the City of Copenhagen and Wonderful Copenhagen in August.

Transparency and involvement is a key part of the process, and on April 14, you can help influence the further work on the recommendations when the citizens’ assembly invites Copenhageners and other interested parties to an open assembly.

Here you can hear about the work of the Citizens’ Assembly so far and discuss the issues that the members of the Citizens’ Assembly would particularly like to have input on.

As there are a limited number of seats, registration is required. You can register via the Copenhagen Speeches page, which you can find here. You will be notified before the meeting if you have a seat.
