Democracy is changing. Fewer and fewer people are joining political parties and civil society is changing. At the same time, the need for new forms of participation, community and influence is growing.
In collaboration with DIPD, tvi invites you to a Democratic Think Tank on August 27th about the role of citizens in democracy. Here we focus on the democratic citizen in 2025. What will the membership democracy of the future look like? What does it mean when traditional organizations lose their grip – and how do we create new paths to democratic engagement?
We will be visited by:
🗣️ Ulrik Kjær, Professor of Political Science, University of Southern Denmark
🗣️ Christina Sade Olumeko, Member of Parliament for Alternativet
🗣️ Helle Bonnesen, local politician for the Conservative People’s Party
A democracy researcher and a political panel will shed light on this in this edition of Democratic Pause for Thought. The panel will be announced soon.
The Democracy Garage at Rentemestervej is the setting for the event, made in collaboration with We Do Democracy. Register for the event here: https://dipd.dk/arrangementer/demokratisk-deltagelse-anno-2025
