First weekend gathering of Young Influence

How do we create a vibrant youth democracy?
On Friday, September 12th, we will start the work of creating a vibrant youth democracy – together with 60 committed young people from Herning, Guldborgsund, Greve, Vejle and Nyborg Municipality. Young people should not only be heard – they should be co-creators of the democracy of the future.

In the Youth Citizen Assembly, they will have the opportunity to develop concrete solutions for municipalities’ involvement of young people, which will be discussed in the municipal council and in the relevant specialist committees.

One of the first things we need to explore with young people is the ways young people are already influencing their everyday lives. For example, youth political parties, student councils and activism. Do you have good examples that other young people should know about? As the political monitoring group said to the young people last Thursday:
“We look forward to seeing what we can do better for youth participation in our municipality.”
