Johannes is a junior consultant at We Do Democracy, where he works with sustainable tourism, underrepresented groups and communication tasks.
Johannes has a bachelor’s degree in Danish and is studying a master’s degree in climate change at the University of Copenhagen. He brings his interdisciplinary skills into play in various communication tasks and contributes to the project CULTIGEN, which is about creating new, sustainable and democratic approaches to tourism in Copenhagen.
Johannes is detail-oriented and passionate about creating safe, inclusive and strong communities that can deliver change on both small and large scales. He has previously worked with local climate action in the public sector, and with his experience from the broad climate movement, Johannes has a special interest in the potential for change in grassroots organizing.
He is curious about how civil society can contribute knowledge, experience and engagement to the democratic conversation on the big issues in society. One topic that interests Johannes at the moment is the role of everyday democracy in ensuring better democratic representation of underrepresented groups and spaces where everyone has a voice.
