Junior consultant with strong communication skills

We Do Democracy is looking for a strong communication student for a junior consultant position. Working hours are 10-15 hours per week.

At We Do Democracy, we are leading expert advisors in deliberative democracy, democracy innovation and participation, and we work broadly to innovate democracy in a variety of projects. We are looking for a junior consultant who can help communicate our democracy projects in a good, strategic and meaningful way.

That’s why we’re looking for you to use your communication skills to spread ripples, set an agenda and start conversations. Someone who is motivated by working for a better democratic future and telling the story of how we do it.

Your core task will be to communicate about We Do Democracy’s projects and everyday life on our various channels. This includes producing content for our social media, running our website and channels, producing text and communicating our projects to a broad target group. We have a lot of knowledge and projects that just need to be communicated!

Your tasks will include, among other things:

  • Ongoing maintenance and updating of website content
  • Planning and producing content on LinkedIn and other social media
  • Producing content for our website
  • Continuous quality assurance of communication content
  • Contribute to strengthening communication strategy
  • Contributing to the development of a new strategy to steer clear of US tech companies
  • Possibly communicate via media other than the written word (image, sound, etc.)

Who are you?

You are a student and interested in helping to move the world in a more democratic direction. You may be studying journalism, rhetoric, communication, Danish, design or other language and communication-related subjects.

We imagine that you, among other things:

  • Interested in democracy, participation, citizen involvement and policy development
  • Likes and is comfortable writing and editing text
  • Have a flair and understanding of social media. We use LinkedIn in particular.
  • Good at keeping an overview, takes initiative and can work independently
  • Think it’s cool to go out with a camera over your shoulder or microphone in hand
  • Enjoy working with visual expressions
  • Is a ‘planner’ who likes to be on the cutting edge
  • Eager to learn, thorough, smart and basically in a good mood
  • Flexible and able to take on smaller tasks on days you’re not in the office
  • Are in the final year of your bachelor’s or the beginning of your master’s program

No one can do everything, but if any of the above applies to you, we’d love to hear from you. The most important thing is a desire to learn and that you have a strong “I can do it” attitude.

As a Junior Consultant, you’ll work closely with the rest of the team and be part of a team with different backgrounds, main focus and projects that values collaboration and support. We offer the opportunity for a steep learning curve and to influence your own tasks.

The position is basically 15 hours per week with the possibility that we adapt it to your everyday life. Your salary will be 160 DKK per hour. Start-up is as soon as possible and no later than the end of August.
