Linea Sveistrup is a Junior Consultant at We Do Democracy, where she is project coordinator, PA for Zakia Elvang, network and event manager, communication manager, course manager, facilitator, onboarding and recruitment manager and is responsible for ensuring collaboration with Democracy Garage.
She is a trained Democracy Fitness trainer and teaches Masterclasses on building democratic confidence. Linea has experience in facilitating both smaller and larger gatherings locally, nationally and internationally. One of Linea’s core competencies is creating a safe space with room for open dialog. Linea is passionate about democracy as a field, especially how democracy can be designed and communicated so as not to be taken for granted.
Linea studies Politics and Public Administration at Roskilde University with a special focus on deliberative democracy, active citizen participation, complex problems, decision-making processes, and project management of interdisciplinary collaborations on analysis and strategy processes. Linea dedicates her free time to working to strengthen youth participation. She is a member of the National Youth Climate Council, where she advises the Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities on youth perspectives on the climate agenda. In addition, Linea sits on Region H’s Youth Climate Council and in the Steering Group for the Network of SDG Ambassadors. She is driven by creating space for democratic influence and youth participation in the big decisions of our time. Currently, she is focused on how we ensure the democratic process and conversation in large infrastructure projects.
