Louisa is project coordinator at We Do Democracy and Democracy Garage, where she works with the project RENTEN Transition Nordvest and has previously worked with the Copenhagen Climate Citizens’ Parliament and the Ruds Vedby Citizens’ Panel.
Louisa has a special passion for strengthening local communities and cross-cutting collaborations between citizens, organizations and associations. She has a strong knowledge of designing and facilitating participatory processes in the local community, including in Ruds Vedby and the Copenhagen Northwest area, and organizing local change in practice in co-creation with others. She believes that local change processes should be based on meeting people and is good at building relationships with people from different backgrounds.
She is also interested in strengthening political organizing and diverse communities, where she has experience from coordinating a collaboration between local groups across the country engaged in resisting fossil fuel infrastructure projects.
Louisa has an interdisciplinary background in sociology, political science and climate change from The University of Edinburgh and the University of Copenhagen. She is particularly interested in the connection between social and economic inequality and the environmental and climate crisis and is passionate about active, diverse participation in the green transition, including through deliberative democratic processes.
