Sofie is conference manager for the International Democracy R&D Annual Conference 2023 taking place in the Fall and in charge of all matters regarding this.

Sofie holds a degree in Urban Planning from Nordic Urban Planning Studies from Roskilde University with a special focus on citizen involvement, urban planning in the Nordic context, process planning and project management. In addition, she has a bachelor’s degree in Performance Design and has been a festival organizer at New Note Festival from 2016-2019, where she has strong skills in volunteer coordination, event management, process management, structuring and facilitation. (2021), Sofie explored Copenhageners’ wishes and demands for the city’s green spaces during a pandemic.

She is passionate about facilitating spaces where change and strong communities can emerge, and is excited to contribute to the great work of creating space and fertile ground for democratic dreams and change-driven dialogues towards a greener and better world.
