In the spring of 2023, the Citizens’ Coalition for Sustainable Consumption launched a series of recommendations on how to consume more sustainably in the future. The recommendations have already been presented to regions and municipalities, and now the desire is to continue the conversation at the national level.
The recommendations are full of hopes, dreams and compromises with proposals for initiatives and solutions that go far beyond what has been politically in play so far. With the conversation, the members of the Citizens’ Assembly hope that these hopes and recommendations can move closer to action.
The conversation will take place in ProviantgĂ„rden at Christiansborg, Monday d. November 20, 2023 at 13:00 – 14:30 and is open to all interested parties .

About the Sustainable Consumption Citizens’ Assembly
In the spring, 40,000 Danes from the Capital Region of Denmark, the Region of Southern Denmark, Frederiksberg Municipality, Rudersdal Municipality and Vejle Municipality were invited to participate in the Sustainable Consumption Citizens’ Assembly, which aimed to formulate their visions and concrete recommendations for a future of sustainable consumption. 66 members were selected to reflect the Danish population in relation to Denmark. gender, age, education and geography.
