Thomas is an intern at We Do Democracy during the fall semester of 2026. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Urban Studies and Planning at Roskilde University, where his studies have included strategic planning and socially just urban development. In addition, through his work in the public sector, he has experience with data processing and analysis, as well as working with the public housing sector and disadvantaged urban areas in Copenhagen.
Thomas is particularly interested in how underrepresented population groups can have their voices heard in various types of planning processes and in the potential of democratic processes to address complex and contentious issues.
At We Do Democracy, Thomas contributes, among other things, to the CULTIGEN project, which focuses on sustainable, balanced, and democratic tourism development in Copenhagen, and to the organization of the third season of the Copenhageners’ Climate Citizens’ Assembly.
