– Jakob Rask, Associate Professor of Economics at Roskilde University and co-author of the book ‘Kooperativ Håndbog – Iværksætteri i fællesskab’

– Jakob Falk, Evaluation and research at Dream Town

Dreamtown works to create urban spaces with young people in African cities. Urban spaces give young people a platform for political engagement. In Zimbabwe, we have found that we can use the language of art to create change. Art is not seen as political in an otherwise repressive regime, where expressing your political views can be life-threatening. But a prerequisite for young people to be able to challenge those in power and question policies is that they know their rights. Therefore, in Zimbabwe, we have focused on strengthening young people’s democratic engagement and understanding of their rights both in the civilian physical space and in the digital space. Jakob Falk from Dreamtown would like to tell you more about this.
